I am thankful for this great country I live in, the United States of America. There is no place in the World like it. Sure, we have our challenges, but we also enjoy the highest standard of living in the World. Even the poorest in the USA are in the top 5% economically in the World. But more important than that is the freedom we have to set our own course in life: spiritually, physically and financially.
One of the things that make this country great is the freedom to exchange ideas, and hopefully come together with the best for all sides. Our freedom of worship in this country allows us to worship as we please and to freely express our opinions. Each may have a different opinion, but we are all free to express those opinions and beliefs.
Certainly, high on the list of things I’m thankful for is Family. For most of us family is the very heart of our being and it’s certainly true in my case. These are the folks closest to us and they know our faults as well as our abilities and still chose to love and embrace us. They are there when things go bad, as well as when things go well. They cry with us and rejoice with us. For many of us “family” goes beyond our blood relatives. Church, community, close friends and yes, even sometimes the workplace, give us a sense of “family” that join us together.
High on my list of things to be thankful for are the many clients and friends of RCI in Oklahoma. You have entrusted to us some of your most valuable assets and we take the responsibility of helping you protect those assets very seriously. Many of you in Oklahoma have written to tell us of how we’ve helped you, others have told your friends and neighbors about us. TO ALL OF YOU, WE SAY THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!
As we go into the Thanksgiving and Holiday Seasons, let me encourage each of you to make your own list of things you are thankful for. Write them down! Study them! When you tend to have one of those “down days” pick up the list and read it. It’s bound to lift your spirits. If there are people on your list you are thankful for, let them know. If possible, look them in the eye and tell them why you’re thankful for them. If it’s not possible face to face, then pick up the phone and call, write them a note or whatever, but let them know! You’ll never know how much they may need to know!
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AMERICA!
